I am not sure anyone drives through Kansas City and thinks; "this is the kind of place I want to live." There is a lot here. There are beautiful places and there are ugly places.
The ugly places seem to captivate me. Not so sure what that says about my personality or disposition. Ruin at such a scale. Seeing businesses that far exceed anything I will ever approach laid to waist in rust and tangles of dilapidated sheet metal. There is an aesthetic. A sort of grotesque beauty in it. A dangerous edge. A telling irony, and a sad legacy.
