There were subconscious strategies based in fears of inadequacies leading to unsuspected tragedies, of empowerment discrepancies, and a hundred thousand unanswered potentialities, and unapproached realities. Sprinkled into the tender coagulations of an impressionable merging consciousness, to which youth is blind and blissfully ignorant, but they will one day come to the door, like an illegitimate child wanting refuge and answers. To the questions driven into the marrow of all my angst. And what then is there to do, but invite them in, and set them down, and begin to try to make a sentence. And stop. And breathe. And remember love, the other side of fear, and compassion, the other side of defence, and embrace, the other side of the shadow hiding. And breathe. And breathe.

That's a very moving piece of writing-- a real prose poem. Hope you are finding the answers you're looking for.

Thanks John, I think I am better at finding questions than I am at finding answers.

Another turning point a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time

It's something unpredictable but in the end
It's right I hope you've had the time of your life

So take the photographs and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good heath and good time
Tattoos and memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while

It's something unpredictable but in the end
It's right I hope you've had the time of your life
